Norlha is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, NGO, association based in Lausanne, Switzerland, that supports remote and poor communities in the Himalayas to improve their lives in terms of food security, additional income, sound environment, gender equality. Currently Norlha has projects in Nepal, Bhutan and China. Norlha is working in several languages and is currently looking for a:
Translator (M/F)
Part time Volunteer position
Mission and activities
· Translation of important documents regarding the different departments of Norlha;
· Proof reading;
· Communication and collaboration with colleagues.
Candidate Profile
· Engagement and experience in translation;
· Excellent speaking and writing skills in English and French, or German;
· Highly motivated, comfortable working autonomously and in a team;
· Proficient in reporting, in analysis and synthesis.
Norlha offers

· Working in an enthusiastic and motivated cohesive team;
· High degree of autonomy, good sense of responsibility, ample room for initiative;
· Better understanding in humanitarian work and living condition in Himalayan area.
Duration: at least 3 months, preferably 6 months or longer
Working time: 4-20 hours per week
Location: Home-based work is possible, wherever it is, with meetings 1-2 a month in HQ in Lausanne
This part-time, volunteer position is not paid
